Hyperion Lyceum Amsterdam

Learning to think critically and rationally with an eye for people and society

Hyperion Lyceum Amsterdam

In 2018 the Hyperion Lyceum relocated to a place where Amsterdam is expanding and renewing. The new school building fulfils Hyperion’s educational vision which is primarily oriented around self-development, cooperation and ambition. ZENBER is working on the interior and meets regularly to discuss wishes, possibilities and preferences with the design team, consisting of pupils, parents and staff members.

The Hyperion Lyceum is a school for pre-university education (VWO+), offering two levels of pre-university education (‘gymnasium’ and ‘atheneum’). At both levels the emphasis is on the development of an academic intellectual ability. The main focus is on learning to think critically and rationally with an eye for people and society. The Hyperion Lyceum assumes that pupils are eager to learn and are talented. Our education equips pupils intellectually in such a way that they can develop into critical citizens who are properly engaged in society.
