Sustainable and future-proof building
On Thursday, January 23, Rheden's new town hall was festively opened. In addition to speeches by mayor Carol van Eert, among others, representatives of the seven villages in the municipality made a puzzle. Together, seven large wooden puzzle pieces formed the map of the municipality.
Mayor Carol van Eert:”Our new town hall is much more than just a building. It is a place where employees and residents can meet, and where we continue to build the future together. I'm incredibly proud of what we've done here for our community!”
Councillor Dorus Klomberg emphasized the importance of the sustainable building: “This is a building for and for the future. Sustainable, modern and fully in line with the ambitions of our municipality. This result is an achievement that we can all be very happy about.”
ZENBER Architects (interior designer) worked on the design together with DP6 (architect). The sustainable and future-proof town hall is open, transparent and hospitable. Residents, visitors and employees can meet and work together in a pleasant, safe and healthy work environment. The landscape location and rich history of the place are the basis of the new design.
