Rabobank wants to be able to meet and talk to its clients face to face, and to maintain good contact. The new advice centre of Rabobank Oost on Industrieweg Oost in Elst has been developed as an inviting and professional environment with a contemporary and comfortable interior within which bank staff and clients can meet.
‘Enjoy your workspace’
The industrial concrete and steel of the existing building has been combined with soft, colourful materials. Together they form a homey, fresh, and contemporary interior. This combination of tactile and functional has given the employees a workplace that they enjoy spending time in and where they can give their clients a warm welcome.
The patio is a multifunctional space thanks to the varied layout and furnishings. Staff can eat their lunch there, work there, or discuss matters with a colleague.
Four colours have been used to identify the various locations within the offices. Rabobank is also demonstrating corporate social responsibility by reusing the existing ceiling and the carpet tiles already in place.
The work environments consist of enclosed concentration zones and open communication zones surrounded by consultation rooms and quiet rooms. Depending on his or her work activities, an employee decides on the best location for efficient working. The open work structures particularly stimulate cooperation and the sharing of knowledge.
The consultation rooms and the seminar room for a spatial unit and are separated from each other only by a 14-metre length of felt macramé/long felt rug. It is an attractive eye-catcher that ensures privacy and contributes to pleasant acoustics.
