Sustainable design, justified use of material

The applied materials and products in the design are frequently made from recycled materials. The felt sheet material on the façade and baffles of the bluebox are made from recycled plastic bottles. In the future the sheet material will be ‘recyclable’ for another application. The carpet has a Cradle to Cradle® Silver certification, a guarantee that the products contribute positively to the environment and public health, and are made to be recycled in a non-toxic closed cycle. The carpet contains 100% regenerated nylon yarn made from recycled waste material such as fishing nets and post-consumer carpet fibers. The existing furniture is maximally reused and revitalized. Also various products and services are locally involved from the Gelderse Vallei region.
